We make a very distinctive style of handcrafted Dark Bamboo Wood Walking Cane and Walking Cane Flutes right here at our home in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Stockbridge, Massachusetts. For over 35 years we have earned our way making and selling our unique style of Dark Bamboo Wood Flutes and Walking Sticks at Juried Craft Shows and Music Festivals throughout the Northeast U.S. We do some 30 Craft Shows a year which keeps us on the road about 80 days.

The process begins with the selection of the choicest segments from raw bamboo poles. Pieces are then chosen for consistency of their wall thickness and lack of blemishes. It takes us some 26 steps to go from a raw bamboo pole to a finished Dark Bamboo Wood Walking Cane. Many more additional steps are required to make a Dark Bamboo Wood Walking Cane Flute.

Solid Brass Handles are securely fastened to the Bamboo Walking Cane but can also be removed. All of our Brass Handles are interchangeable. The Leather Strap is very handy when you need to use your cane hand for a task. Our Dark Bamboo Wood Walking Cane Flute is exactly the same as described above but also has a tuned Six Hole Transverse Flute, played sideways like a Concert Flute, built into the middle of each Dark Bamboo Wood Walking Cane. Just turn the bamboo walking cane on its side and start playing away! We Individually Concert Tune each Dark Bamboo Walking Cane Flute to a Major Scale (G) and they play a range of up to two octaves. Walking Cane Flutes are well tuned and can be played with other instruments. Great fun for jam sessions!

DARK BAMBOO WOOD WALKING CANE HANDLES

You have a choice of four styles of Solid Brass Handle for your Dark Bamboo Wood Walking Cane.

The 'Regency' is by far the most comfortable of the Brass Handles. It is best suited for someone who will be putting a lot of pressure on the handle to support themselves while walking. Most walking cane users use this handle.

The 'Eagle' handle is the next most comfortable of the Brass Handles. If you will be applying a moderate amount of pressure on the bamboo walking cane for stability then this handle will work for you.

The 'Cobra' and 'Ball' brass handles are the least comfortable if you need the support of a cane for walking but they are very stylish looking.

The 'Ball' brass handle is especially interesting. The 'Ball' is hollow inside making it an ideal place to stash small valuables. You simply unscrew the top half of the brass ball to reveal the opening. You cannot tell by looking at the brass ball that it comes apart.
