Individually Hand Crafted Dark Bamboo Monopod Walking Stick made by us, Serenity Bamboo Flute, at our home in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Stockbridge Massachusetts. For over 35 years our small family business has made and sold our distinctive style of Dark Bamboo Flutes, Walking Sticks and Walking Stick Flutes at Juried Craft Fairs and Music Festivals throughout the Northeast United States.

Our Dark Bamboo Monopod Walking Stick measures 52 Inches long and has a Hollow Brass Ball on the top, Leather Hand Strap and Heavy Rubber Tip on the bottom. Within the Brass Ball is a 20mm Liquid Compass, a standard Camera Mount (see photos) and room enough to stash small valuables. Stored in the bottom of the Monopod Walking Stick is a metal spike that is used to fasten the Monopod Walking Stick to the ground for taking self photos using your cameras timer.

Monopod Walking Sticks can be cut to any size you need, larger or smaller, at no extra charge (See Details Below).

We ship our Dark Bamboo Monopod Walking Stick via USPS Priority Mail and they usually arrive within 3 to 4 business days (within the continental U.S.). Shipments sent beyond the continental U.S. require extra postage. We will notify you by email of any extra charges before shipping (remember to include your email address when ordering). Monopod Walking Sticks are shipped packed in a sturdy reusable cardboard tube.

Our Dark Bamboo Monopod Walking Stick is light yet very strong and built to meet the demands of the most ardent hiker. Each Monopod Walking Stick has a Hollow Brass Ball on the top, Leather Hand Strap and a replaceable Heavy Rubber Tip on the bottom (extra tips available).

Monopod Walking Sticks are shipped cut to 52 inches but we will cut the Monopod to any size you need at no extra charge.

The Brass Ball of the Monopod Walking Stick is hollow. You can unscrew the top half of the brass ball to reveal a 20mm Liquid Compass. Unscrew the brass ball completely from the monopod walking stick and you have access to a standard camera mount. There is also ample room within the hollow brass ball to stash small valuables. You can not tell by looking at the brass ball that it comes apart. See photo's above.

Use the Monopod Walking Stick to take photos of yourself and friends when your out on a hike. Simply remove the rubber tip from the bottom of the monopod to access a metal spike which you then screw back into the bottom of the Monopod Walking Stick. Now stick the spike into the ground then screw your camera onto the camera mount on the top of the monopod. Focus your shot, set the camera timer then run like hell to get in front of your camera! Lots of fun!

The outside design of the Monopod Walking Stick is very unique. It has a 'Tortoise Shell' like patina developed by us through our many years of working with bamboo wood. No two are alike! We protect the exterior of the Monopod Walking Stick with a durable water proof Poly Finish.

I enjoy hiking myself. Its a great chance for me to get our dog Dixie, an American Dingo, out for a good three hour romp in the woods. Its as close to smiling as she gets. She loves it. Since I enjoy taking photos I use one of our Dark Bamboo Monopod Walking Sticks when I hike. Dixie and I do a lot of bushwhacking and off trail hiking so the monopod gets a lot of usage. This is our quality control and I can tell you from experience that these monopods hold up quite well. It is especially useful to me when traversing some very steep terrain. I have been using my present Monopod Walking Stick for the past five years or so, it's a little beat up but holding up quite well.

MONOPOD WALKING STICK FLUTE

Monopod Walking Stick Flutes are exactly as described above but also include a Six Hole Transverse Flute (side blown like a Concert Flute) located in the middle of the monopod walking stick for balance. We Individually Concert Tune each Monopod Walking Stick Flute to a Major Scale (G) and they play a range of up to two octaves. This is a well tuned Flute that is great for playing along with other instruments or sitting in a meadow and singing with the birds. Just turn the Monopod Walking Stick Flute on its side and play for your hearts content.

HAND INKED DESIGNS

Monopod Walking Sticks can be Etched and Hand Inked with your choice of a Full Colored Inked Design. My wife, Linda, Etches each design onto the monopod, then Hand Inks each design in Full Color using high quality permanent inks. Austrian Crystals are then inlayed into the design to give the monopod walking stick a bit of sparkle.

If you have a Personnel Design or Sketch that you would like etched and inked onto your monopod walking stick, please send us a sketch or photo and we will try to accommodate. Extra charges may apply.

NAMES-INITIALS-INSCRIPTION

Name or Initials can be Etched and Inked onto the monopod walking stick for a cost of $1.00 per letter. The letters are Etched and Hand Inked in Gold. The gold lettering against the dark bamboo finish of the monopod makes for a beautiful hiking stick.

A small Inscription may also be Etched onto your monopod walking stick for a cost of $10.00 for up to 10 words.
