Different species of wood give wood flutes a distinctive resonance and timbre that is dependent on the type of wood used in their making. Bamboo Wood Flutes have a very mellow resonating tone that is peculiar to only bamboo wood. We also make bamboo wood Walking Stick Flutes and Walking Cane Flutes.

All of our Bamboo Wood Flutes are Transverse Flutes, they are played sideways like a concert flute. Our Bamboo Wood Flutes are Individually Concert Tuned bu us to a Major Scale and they play a range of up to two octaves. Since this is a tuned flute it is a great to use for jamming along with other instruments. Bamboo wood flutes are very light and perfect for tossing in a backpack or pocket to take along with you in your travels.

Our Bamboo Wood Flutes are designed by us to be Easy to play for beginners who want to learn how to play a side blown flute. Serious Flute players and musicians, who want to add the haunting tones of a wood flute to their sound, will also appreciate the beautiful melody's possible with our Bamboo Wood Flutes.

Each Custom Inked Design (See Designs) is Engraved onto the wood flute by my wife, Linda. She then Hand Inks each one using Full Color Permanent Inks. Austrian Crystals are then inlaid into the bamboo wood flutes to give the design a bit of sparkle. The Design is approximately five inches tall and drawn in a band around the entire flute. It is placed between the mouth hole of our bamboo wood flutes and the top finger hole. A durable waterproof finish is then applied to the outside of the bamboo wood flutes to protect them.

We recommend that beginners start with a bamboo wood flute that is in either the key of 'A' or 'G'. The key of 'G' is a very good key for playing along with other instruments and it has a slightly deeper tone than the key of ‘A’. Either is fine to start with. Remember, the longer bamboo wood flute the deeper the tone and the more difficult the finger stretch. Most folks start with a smaller flute and when they feel comfortable playing it move on to one of the larger bamboo wood flutes.
