which has a hole with a paper membrane covering it. If you are looking

a Transverse Flute, which means they are
blown sideways like a classical concert Flute.

As stated above our 'Serenity Bamboo' Chinese
Flute is a Transverse Flute, played
sideways like a classical flute. We Individually
Concert Tune each Bamboo Chinese Flute to a Major
Scale and they play a range of up to two octaves. These are well
tuned Flutes that are great for playing along with other instruments.

The exterior of our Chinese flute has our unique Tortoise
shell like design and is protected by a durable finish. We include

The process of making a 'Serenity Bamboo' Chinese
Flute begins by selecting the best sections of a 12' long raw
bamboo pole. We look for good wall consistency and lack of blemishes.
From there it takes some twenty different steps to go from bamboo pole
to a finished 'Serenity Bamboo' Chinese Flute.
Serious flute players as well as beginners will appreciate the very
mellow, meditative tone of our bamboo Chinese Flute. This is the perfect
instrument to take along with you on your travels and also a great flute
for jamming along with other instruments. It can really sing in the
upper register.

WHAT SIZE BAMBOO CHINESE FLUTE SHOULD I GET?
We suggest that beginners start with a Bamboo Chinese Flute in either
the key of 'A' or 'G'.
The key of 'G' is a little deeper in tone
than the 'A' and is a very common key for
playing along with other instruments. The fingering is a little closer
on the 'A' flute, so you might want to take
that into consideration for smaller hands.
Remember, the longer the bamboo flute the deeper the tone but the
more difficult the finger stretch.
Start with a bamboo flute in either the key of 'A'
or 'G'. and when you feel comfortable playing this size flute
then move on to a longer and deeper toned Bamboo Chinese flute.
